Totti gunning for Arsenal

Captain Francesco Totti is desperately trying to get back on the pitch so that he can help Roma beat Arsenal.

The two clubs met last week in the Champions League at The Emirates stadium with Arsenal clinging on to a 1-0 advantage with the return leg in Rome next Wednesday.

Totti who has been out with a knee injury wants to play this weekend in the league so as to get back to speed before coming up against the Gunners.

Roma's fitness trainer Vito Scala told Corriere dello Sport: "The knee is okay and there is no need to talk about a surgical procedure,

"Now we have to work to get him fit for the match against Arsenal. And, if he needs to get minutes under his belt to be in top form for that date, we will employ him on Saturday. Provided that this niggling problem goes away..."
