Milan boosted by Kaka’s return

Share

Kaka could make a sensational return from injury for the Rossoneri against Internazionale in the Milan derby.

AC Milan only managed to draw 1-1 against Serie A cellar-dwellers Reggina over the weekend, and that leaves them eight points behind league leaders Inter.

The Rossoneri's dismal showing was made worse by club superstar Kaka's foot injury, which forced the Brazil international off the field late in the game.

Initial scans revealed that the midfield maestro had suffered a sprained left foot, which would normally require two weeks of recuperation.

However, the latest word from Milan is that Kaka has made sufficient progress to play some part of the Milan derby this weekend.

The Italian media broke the news and reports have suggested that the midfielder's withdrawal from Brazil's friendly against Italy could have sped up the recovery process.

If Kaka is to take part in the Milan derby this weekend, it will be interesting to see what AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti does with Ronaldinho, who has been tipped to start for the Rossoneri, as a result of the injury to his fellow compatriot.
