Adriano And Balotelli Recalled By Mourinho For Bremen Match

Share

Inter defeated Lazio 3-0 on the weekend without the use of either Adriano or Mario Balotelli, as Jose Mourinho had left them off of his squad list for differing reasons.

Adriano had been ill during the week and the 'Special One' did not consider him match fit after he had missed a couple days of training. Meanwhile, the ex-Chelsea coach was unhappy with the effort he was seeing from Mario Balotelli in training.

However, both strikers have been included in Mourinho's call-ups for the Champions League match against Werder Bremen on Tuesday. Adriano is completely recovered from the flu and Balotelli's fine performance with the reserve squad seems to have convinced Mourinho to recall 18-year-old Balotelli.

Julio Cruz and Francesco Toldo are out through injury and Hernan Crespo and Walter Samuel cannot take part because they were not included in Inter's original Champions League list they submitted at the beginning of the season.

The Nerazzurri are already qualified for the next stage of the competition, but would like to secure first place in the group with a victory.

Below are Mourinho's call-ups:

Goalkeepers: 12 Julio Cesar, 22 Paolo Orlandoni, 43 Luca Stocchi.

Defenders: 2 Ivan Ramiro Cordoba, 6 Maxwell, 13 Maicon, 16 Nicolas Burdisso, 23 Marco Materazzi, 39 Davide Santon.

Midfielders: 4 Javier Zanetti, 5 Dejan Stankovic, 7 Luis Figo, 11 Luis Jimenez, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 20 Sulley Muntari, 36 Francesco Bolzoni.

Strikers: 8 Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 10 Adriano, 33 Amantino Mancini, 45 Mario Balotelli, 77 Ricardo Quaresma
