Villarreal's Rossi Flattered By Italian Interest

Giuseppe Rossi has admitted that other clubs' interest in him only inspires him to work even harder and he has no intention of looking for way out of Villarreal this season.

The Italian international has been linked with Juventus and Roma in recent weeks after impressing for both the Yellow Submarines and the national team.

But the former Manchester United forward does not want to be distracted by transfer talk and will instead use it to make him play better and help Villarreal compete for the title.

"It is something that motivates you. It's nice to be wanted by other teams, but it is nothing more," he said.

"That also something that I do not want to distract me, because what is important is to focus on the team and on the next game."

Villarreal go to Celtic for the last game of the Champions League group stage in midweek and Rossi admits that he is a fan of Scottish football after Sir Alex Ferguson introduced him to it.

"I know Scottish football well as Ferguson used to speak to me about Scottish clubs," he told the Scottish Mail.

"It made me watch live matches on TV. Celtic will look to win and that makes them so dangerous."
