Baptista To Return England For Chelsea Match

Share

Roma's Brazilian attacking force, Julio Baptista, is set to return in time for the key Champions League match-up against Chelsea on October 22.

Baptista picked up an injury while on international duty with Brazil, sustained to his thigh. He has remained in Sao Paulo for the time being but will miss his country's World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Colombia, and likely Roma's Serie A match against the imperious Inter at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, the 27-year-old should make his comeback during the Champions League Group A match against Chelsea, as Roma look to recover some lost ground in the competition after losing their opening match to CFR Cluj.

Baptista has been a bright spot in Roma's rather lacklustre campaign so far. Having arrived from Real Madrid in the summer, the pleyer known as 'The Tank' has already netted three goals for the Giallorossi.

Another key figure who could be making his return soon is captain Francesco Totti, who has yet to start a match this season
