PSV's Bréchet to miss Marseille trip

Share

PSV Eindhoven say Jérémie Bréchet "will probably be out for several weeks" after the French central defender picked up an injury during Saturday's 3-2 home defeat by Roda JC.

Scan needed
The 29-year-old was substituted in the first half of the Eredivisie fixture with what appeared to be a pulled hamstring and needs to undergo an MRI scan this week to determine the nature and extent of the injury. Midfield player Nordin Amrabat went off with a groin strain in the same game although PSV have not commented on the 21-year-old's injury. Having beaten Olympique de Marseille on Matchday 3, the Dutch champions travel to France for the Group D return a week on Tuesday.
