Robben ruled out for two weeks

Arjen Robben faces a race to be fit for Real Madrid CF's UEFA Champions League trip to Juventus on 21 October after the winger suffered a left thigh injury during Sunday's 2-2 Liga draw with RCD Espanyol.

Quick exit
Bernd Schuster sent Robben on for Rafael van der Vaart at the start of the second half but was forced to withdraw the 24-year-old just 19 minutes later. After various tests on the former Chelsea FC man the club revealed they hoped to have him back in 15 days. Robben will therefore miss the Netherlands' FIFA World Cup qualifiers at home to Iceland and away against Norway next week, but both Madrid and the Oranje have been boosted as Wesley Sneijder successfully came through the Espanyol game having been out since pre-season with a knee injury.
