Arsenal v Fenerbahce

Share

Venue: Emirates Stadium
Date: Wednesday 5 November
Kick-off: 1945 GMT

Arsenal have a serious injury crisis, with only 15 regulars available.

Forwards Theo Walcott (shoulder) and Emmanuel Adebayor (ankle) are out after picking up their injuries in Saturday's Premier League defeat at Stoke.

Skipper William Gallas (hamstring) and fellow defender Emmanuel Eboue (knee) are out, as are long-term absentees Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo.

However, right-back Bacary Sagna looks set to feature after recovering from an ankle problem.

Victory over Fenerbahce will give Arsenal 10 points with two group matches remaining, usually a guarantee of progress to the knockout rounds.

They will definitely progress if they win and Porto are beaten by Dynamo Kiev in Group G's other game.

Arsenal should take some confidence into the match after their superb 5-2 win in Turkey last month.

But the Gunners have suffered two disappointing results in their last two Premier League fixtures.

Arsenal drew 4-4 with Tottenham, who were 4-2 down on 89 minutes, and followed that up by losing at Stoke.

Boss Arsene Wenger said: "Once we qualify in the Champions League we can focus on the Premier League and have the chance to rest some players.

"It's important we qualify as quickly as possible because we had two bad experiences recently."

Arsenal (from): Almunia, Fabianski, Sagna, Toure, Silvestre, Djourou, Clichy, Diaby, Fabregas, Nasri, Denilson, Ramsey, Song, van Persie, Vela, Bendtner, Wilshere, Gibbs, Randall.
