Del Piero Better Than Ibrahimovic - Zico

Brazilian legend Zico believes Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero is better than Inter hit-man Zlatan Ibrahimovic...

The former team-mates lock horns at San Siro in tonight's derby d'Italia. Expectations are high and great things are expected from both players.

Zico, who played in Serie A for Udinese during the 1980s, still keeps a close eye on all the Calcio action, and the Brazilian believes that Del Piero will shine brighter than Ibra because the Italian is better.

"Del Piero and Ibrahimovic? They are two different players with unique styles," Zico told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"Their free kicks are different, like Andrea Pirlo's and Ronaldinho's - two other great set-piece specialists.

"Ibra always blasts the ball hard like he did against Palermo last week.

"Del Piero, on the other hand, is more creative. He has more technique when shooting and he can change the movement of the ball.

"What makes him unique compared to others is the way he strikes the ball towards the goalkeeper without having to find the other side of the goal and he scores. This is a great ability that the Italian has."

Del Piero has scored four sublime free kicks so far this term. Three of those were against Real Madrid, Roma and Zenit.

Inter will need to watch his set-pieces closely. The Juve number 10 scored a stunning free kick at San Siro during the 2005/06 season when Juve won 2-1.
